Technological progress, alienation and sustainability

The XXIII Week of the Italian Language in the World was officially inaugurated on Sunday 15 October at the SAIA, South Australian Italian Association, with the theme: Italian and sustainability. The opening cultural event entitled “Technological progress, alienation and sustainability” was organized by the Dante Alighieri Society of South Australia. The speakers Grande Ufficiale Dr. Daniela Costa and Mr. Michele De Bona held an interesting conversation through literary masterpieces of renowned writers Italo Svevo, Luigi Pirandello and Giovanni Verga. Also speaking were the President of the Dante Alighieri Society, Mr. Edmondo Palombo, and the Vice Consul of Italy, Mr. Giovanni Segre. During the event, three trailers created by Com.It.Es. SA were presented, on the indication of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The trailers have as their central theme, the promotion of the Italian language and culture.
