On January 13, 2025, The Symbola Foundation, in collaboration with Assocamerestero, released the 11th edition of the “Italy in 10 selfies” report. The release event, opened by remarks from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani, highlighted the value of exports as a strategic driver of economic growth and the role of “growth diplomacy” in promoting Italian excellence worldwide.

The report highlights Italy’s achievements in various fields, including the circular economy, where Italy leads Europe in recycling rates, and renewable energy. It also touches on green steel production, and sustainable agriculture, where Italy has a strong presence with a significant number of certified companies and high-quality products.

Italy has a number of strengths, including conference tourism, where it plays a leading role in Europe, and the pharmaceutical industry, which has seen record export growth and strong innovation. Additionally, Italy holds the global record for UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with 60 recognized locations that showcase its unparalleled cultural and natural heritage. These achievements demonstrate how Italy, with an economic model based on quality, sustainability, and innovation, continues to establish itself as a leader in both traditional and emerging sectors. The Symbola Foundation report underscores that Italy is a nation that looks to the future while staying grounded in its rich heritage, a land of excellence capable of inspiring and innovating while maintaining a deep connection to its territories and culture.
