Announces
A) A competition for 20 scholarships of the duration of one year (or one semester), which entitle students to attend high school courses at the High Schools of the Convitto Nazionale or other Schools in the Province of Udine, reserved to:
Off springs or descendants of expats from the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia
B) A competition for 10 fee paying places reserved to students of Italian origin or students of other nationalities

The Convitto possesses the required educational structures and accommodation facilities (see www.cnpd.it) to actively realise this initiative in conjunction with the facilities offered by the schools like Liceo Classico, Liceo Scientifico, Liceo delle Scienze Umane, Liceo Linguistico and other associated Technical and Professional Schools. The applicants, aged 15-17, equipped with a basic knowledge of the Italian language, need to be attending in their home country a similar type of High School to the one they are applying for through this competition.
It is essential that the applicants combine interest and study commitment with openness to participate in the common life, acceptance of school rules, tolerance and understanding of different opinions and attitudes. Moreover, considering the distance from familiar environment and the effort required by the school programme, the applicants must be able to behave in a controlled and appropriate way and be in good physical and mental health. Any medical issue of particular importance must be duly, thoroughly and pre-emptively communicated.
A) Scholarships reserved to off springs or descendants of expats from the region of Friuli Venezia Giulia
The successful applicants will be offered hospitality in the Convitto’s facilities.The Convitto will take on the costs of board and lodging, the cost of administrative expenses, health assistance costs (the registration for the National Health Service, medications and visits by the Convitto doctor), the costs of school books, the expenses related to the hospitality, cultural and recreational activities undertaken at the Convitto.
The families of the applicants will need to cover the following expenses: International travel expenses to and from the Convitto, travel/medical insurance, stationary, school trips organised by the Convitto schools attended, all personal expenses.
Please note that the number of scholarships offered may vary due to unexpected changes to the project’s funding made available by the funding bodies.
B) A competition for 10 fee paying places reserved to students of Italian origin or students of other nationalities
This Project also offers 10 places to fee paying students who are not scholarship recipients. These students need to have a student Visa for Italy and need to cover all expenses related to the Convitto stay, equal to Euro 4.600,00 for the entire school year. These students will have available the same facilities and services as the scholarship recipients.
