We are delighted to announce the 2026 edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.

Organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, this initiative showcases the quality, tradition and authenticity of Italian cuisine. It also aims to combat the phenomenon of “Italian Sounding” – the practice of using names and images that evoke Italy to market products that are not actually Italian.

The event celebrates the Mediterranean diet and its health benefits, highlighting the close connection between food, culture and tradition.

This year’s edition is particularly significant, as it is the first to take place following UNESCO’s inscription of Italian cuisine on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on 10 December 2025.

The theme for this year’s Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is “Italian Cuisine: UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage – Regions Excellent Supply Chains”. The initiative aims to showcase Italy’s local produce, regional traditions, agri-food supply chains, and the cultural significance and identity embodied in Italian cuisine.

Throughout the week, visitors will have the opportunity to discover and sample authentic products and traditional Italian specialities at the restaurants listed below. For the occasion, each participating restaurant has created special menus inspired by the excellence of Made in Italy.

This year, we are delighted to have the support of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium, the Prosciutto di Parma Consortium, and Campari — outstanding partners who help make our project even more special.
