The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World is an annual event promoting authentic Italian food and wine. It highlights the quality, tradition, and authenticity of Italian cuisine and aims to combat “Italian Sounding” – the practice of using Italian-sounding names and imagery to market non-Italian products. The event showcases the Mediterranean diet and its health benefits, emphasizing the connection between food, culture, and tradition.
Organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, it involves a network of Italian Embassies, Consulates, and Cultural Institutes worldwide.
The week includes workshops, meetings, special dedicated menus and demonstrations focused on the Mediterranean diet, Italian culinary techniques, and the importance of authentic products.
This year’s theme “La cucina Italiana tra salute, cultura e innovazione – The Italian cuisine between health, culture and innovation” aims to emphasize Italy’s cuisine candidacy for UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage launched in 2023 and under the scrutiny of the World Heritage Committee that will make a decision on December 2025.
On the occasion of this edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, the following local renowned Italian establishments will take center stage:

We invite you to visit their restaurants during the event to discover and savor traditional Italian dishes, prepared with high-quality ingredients selected from the finest products of our country.
This year, the event will also feature Bottega 1995, a renowned retailer of Italian excellence, offering a curated selection of top-tier Italian products.
