The ceremony in memory of the tragedy of the Istrians and all the victims of Foibe, was attended by Dr. Roberta Ronzitti, Consul of Italy, Vincent Tarzia MP, the curators of the Immigration Museum and various representatives of the Italian-Australian community and of the Famiglia Istriana of Adelaide. During the ceremony, a commemorative plaque dedicated to the victims of the tragedy was unveiled.In her address, the Consul quoted the words of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella: <br \/>\u201cOur identity as Democratic and European Country couldn\u2019t accept that important history pages were torn up, leaving our citizens of the \u2018eastern border\u2019 in a sort of moral abandon.
