The Consulate of Italy in Adelaide provides services for residents of South Australia. For information on our services\u00a0CLICK HERE<\/a><\/p>\n

Consular functions are set out in the 1963 Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, including, by way of example:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. protecting, in the receiving State, the interests of the sending State and of its nationals, both natural and legal persons, within the limits permitted by international law;<\/li>\n
  2. furthering the development of commercial, economic, cultural and scientific relations between the sending State and the receiving State, and otherwise promoting friendly relations between them, in accordance with the provisions of the present Convention;<\/li>\n
  3. ascertaining, by all lawful means, conditions and developments in the commercial, economic, cultural and scientific life of the receiving State, reporting thereon to the Government of the sending State, and providing information to interested persons;<\/li>\n
  4. issuing passports and travel documents to nationals of the sending State, and visas and other appropriate documents to persons wishing to travel to that State;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
