Italian<\/strong> Postal Bonds and Saving Books holders, who need the authentication of their signature, can do so by making an appointment on Prenot@mi<\/a> \u2018notary services\u2019 section.<\/p>\n

On the day of the appointment they shall provide:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Italian document of identity<\/li>\n
  2. Italian tax code (Codice fiscale)<\/li>\n
  3. Form W14<\/a>\u00a0filled and<\/strong> not signed<\/strong>. Serial numbers, value, date of issue and issuing office are all information necessary to proceed<\/li>\n
  4. Form Modalit\u00e0 pagamento Buoni o Libretti Postali<\/a>, regarding the choice of the payment method filled but not signed<\/strong>, indicating precisely the details of the bank account where you wish to receive the payment<\/li>\n
  5. Original of the Postal Bonds or Saving Book (plus postal bond copy recto\/verso or copy of saving book first page and that with balance\u00a0 in case a certified copy is requested)<\/li>\n
  6. Copy of the death certificate issued by the Municipality where the death was registered (ONLY IN THE CASE OF TITLES THAT HAVE FALLEN INTO INHERITANCE);<\/li>\n
  7. Declaration in lieu of the affidavit completed but not signed (ONLY IN THE CASE OF TITLES THAT HAVE FALLEN INTO SUCCESSION);<\/li>\n
  8. Australian debit card for the payment of consular fees related to the authentication of the signature (art. 24 of the Table of Consular Fees<\/a>). Payments can be made at the Consulate preferably by debit card (no contactless, no Applepay, no credit cards, no Italian cards).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Consulate will only authenticate the signature on both forms<\/strong>, so interested users are kindly requested to present themselves at the Consulate with the forms already completed in all their parts except the signature.<\/p>\n

    The applicant’s signature must be affixed in the presence of a consular officer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    After obtaining the authentication, it will be the responsibility of the citizen to send the following documentation to Poste Italiane Spa:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. the two authenticated forms;<\/li>\n
    2. a copy of a valid (Italian) identity document;<\/li>\n
    3. a copy of the tax code;<\/li>\n
    4. Postal savings bonds and\/or postal savings books in original. Before sending, it is advisable to photocopy the front and back of the Postal Savings Bonds; for Savings Booklets, photocopy the first page of the booklet header and the one containing the balance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
