The 25th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation together with its traditional institutional and cultural partners (MIM, MUR, MiC, Embassy of Switzerland, Accademia della Crusca, CePeLL, CGIE, RAI, Società Dante Alighieri and Treccani), is this year dedicated to the theme “Italophony: A Language Beyond Borders.”
The initiative aims to highlight the linguistic, cultural, and social dimension of Italian, envisioning it as a meeting point for an international community united by their passion for the language and their connection with Italy.
The week’s program includes activities and events designed, in an inclusive spirit, to showcase the richness and variety of Italian in its many different contexts. The events scheduled for Adelaide are listed in the flyer below.
Among them, on 19 October the Consulate will host a special event at the Sicilia Social & Sports Club dedicated to the centenary of the birth of Andrea Camilleri. The program, entitled Tribute to Camilleri on the Centenary of His Birth, will be an opportunity to remember and celebrate the great writer.
