The Consul of Italy in Adelaide, Ernesto Pianelli, visited the Minister of Arts to discuss a significant initiative to benefit the culture and education of young citizens.
During the meeting, a generous donation of around 200 English-language children’s books to the State Library and other public libraries was announced by the Consulate.
Among the donated books is ‘Timpa travels through Italy’, which tells about Timpa’s journey along the Italian peninsula, discovering the historical, gastronomic and landscape beauties of our country.
The second book, on the other hand, is the new comic book ‘A Thousand Wonders in Blue, discovering Italy as seen from the sea’ in the Geronimo Stilton series.
The aim of this special edition, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, is to bring children closer to the many artistic and cultural beauties of Italy, even the lesser known ones.
The initiative demonstrates the Consulate’s commitment to promoting the culture and education of young people, offering them the opportunity to explore Italy’s rich heritage through reading.
