The Consulate of Italy in Adelaide is pleased to present an extraordinary event that combines great classical music with the art of Italian winemaking, where the audience will be introduced to a deeper spectrum of approaches to both tasting and listening.
The next cultural event will feature pianist Ida Pelliccioli in an exclusive concert titled “INTROSPECTIONS” – From Sibelius to Respighi, to be held at the Sala Rossini of the Marche Club. A special concert, designed as a sensory experience, where each musical piece is carefully paired with an Italian wine to highlight its beauty, nuances, and to reveal the subtle connections between the art of composers and the art of winemaking, uniting two centuries-old traditions in a single, fascinating evening.
To make the experience even more special, the culinary talent of Chef Luca Guiotto from Aromi Dining will pair a refined canapé with each musical piece and selected wine, carefully crafted to enhance the flavors and complete the unique atmosphere of the evening.
The “INTROSPECTIONS” concert will be an unmissable opportunity for lovers of culture, music, and authentic Italian wine.
Ida Pelliccioli: Born in Bergamo, she began her musical training at the Conservatoire of Nice and the École Normale de Musique de Paris under the guidance of Serguei Markarov. During her studies, she received prestigious scholarships, such as those from the Fondation Zygmunt Zaleski and the Fondation Albert Roussel. She attended masterclasses with renowned artists such as Jean-Claude Pennetier and Gérard Wyss, obtaining a double diploma in performance and pedagogy. Influenced by masters like Norma Fisher and Cuban pianist Jorge Luis Prats, Ida consciously chose to avoid the international competition circuit, preferring a more academic training with two master’s degrees from the Sorbonne in Italian Literature and Ancient Greek History.
Pelliccioli has performed in Europe, Canada, Australia, and South Africa, with her debut in 2024 in new countries including Sweden, Lithuania, Austria, Iceland, and Australia, with future performances scheduled in Singapore and Thailand. She is also active in contemporary music, having performed works by Polish composer Elżbieta Sikora for France Musique radio. Her artistic versatility has led her to collaborate with cinema and television, appearing in series such as Find Me in Paris and Munch. She teaches at the Conservatory of the 8th arrondissement in Paris and holds a WSET2 certification in oenology, developing a project that combines piano concerts with wine tastings.
