On Saturday 18th June the Consul attended the Renaissance Banquet organized by the Dante Alighieri Society of South Australia, at the Italian Centre in Adelaide. The dinner, followed two other major events, the Medieval Dinner and dinner to celebrate the 750th Anniversary of the birth of the poet Dante Alighieri and offered guests the opportunity to participate in a cultural and historical event through traditional Renaissance food and costumes. The Consul, during her speech, emphasized the importance of the involvement of the whole community at events like this, which celebrate the promotion of Italian language and culture in South Australia.
