V WEEK OF THE ITALIAN CUISINE IN THE WORLD (23-29 November 2020)

The Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World is an initiative of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote Italy’s culinary tradition all over the world as one of the most distinctive features of Brand Italy. The initiative will take place in 100+ Countries with an agenda including conferences, tastings, thematic dinners, exhibitions on culinary themes and technical and scientific workshops.

On the occasion of the V Week of Italian Cuisine, we celebrate the bicentenary of the birth of Pellegrino Artusi, father of Italian cuisine. In fact, the theme of the V Edition "Knowledge and flavors of the Italian lands, 200 years after the birth of Pellegrino Artusi" will be dedicated to an emblematic figure of gastronomic research in the field of Italian regional varieties such as Pellegrino Artusi, which he recurs this year the bicentenary of his birth (1820 - 1911).

Unfortunately, due to ongoing covid19 restrictions in SA many events have been either cancelled or postponed.

However, the Italian Consulate in Adelaide wants to join the celebrations around the world with contents to be programmed during the upcoming week. Check this page regularly for news and updates!
