COVID-19 emergency (Coronavirus) - Access to the Consulate

COVID-19 emergency (Coronavirus) - Access to the Consulate

Following the recommendations of the local authorities and pursuant to the directive of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers no. 2/2020, for health prevention purposes with reference to the spread of the COVID-19 virus (CORONAVIRUS), we wish to inform you of the following measures:

- starting from 24.03.2020 access to the waiting room of the Consulate is temporarily limited to no more than three (3) people at the same time. Any person in excess of four will be invited to wait for their turn outside;

- we kindly ask you to please do not go to the Consulate if in the presence of clear flu symptoms, or if they fall into a category for
which the local authorities require a period of preventive self-isolation;

- it is recommended to give preference to remote communications (telephone and e-mail) and to use similar forms of request for those services that can be rendered electronically (e.g. for AIRE registration, use of the Fast It portal).

We remind you that if you need a passport, you must make an appointment online through PRENOTA ONLINE.

Please not that these measures are aimed solely at protecting your health and the health of consular operators. The Consulate, in addition to being open to the public at the usual times, remains fully reachable by phone or email.
