Message of Consul Adriano Stendardo to the Italian Community

Message of Consul Adriano Stendardo to the Italian Community

Dear Italians,

Dear friends of Italy,

In taking Office as Consul of Italy in South Australia, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of You and in particular to my fellow citizens residing in this consular district, with whom I am sure I will establish highly collaborative relations.

South Australia is a land of ancient Italian migration. The generations of Italians who have decided to leave Italy over time to study and work in Adelaide and in the neighboring towns have contributed, with their courage, hard work and talent, to confer prestige and credit to our country.

This website should become a point of reference for the entire Italian community in South Australia. I intend to further strengthen the ties that unite the old and new generations, taking into account their respective needs and improving quality and efficiency of the consular services offered by the Office in favour of Italians residing permanently or temporarily in this State.

I also would like to assure you of my commitment to enhance, in close connection with the Italian Embassy in Canberra, different forms of social aggregation of Italians in the area, our cultural heritage and our economic and commercial presence.

In this regard, any suggestion aimed at improving the Consulate's web page will be taken into consideration, in order to make
available to the different types of users a modern, precise and efficient consultation tool. We are therefore ready to receive your advice.

I wish to renew my greetings and my wish to work together to everyone who, at a professional or at a private level, has contributed to honour our country in South Australia.

Adriano Stendardo
Consul of Italy in South Australia
