CITTA`SLOW DELEGATION IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA FOR THE ADMISSION OF GOOLWA AS THE FIRST NON-EUROPEAN CITY TO BE PART OF THE PRESTIGIOUS CIRCUIT OF
The Italian Consulate welcomes the CittàSlow delegation, composed of the Mayor of Francavilla al Mare, Roberto Angelucci (President of CittàSlow), the Mayor of Orvieto, Stefano Cimicchi (Vice-President) and the Director of CittàSlow, Piero Giorgio Oliveti.
The goal of the visit is to create an "Australasian" network of the famous club of "slow cities", characterized by quality of life, respect for the environment and strong desire to maintain cultural (and culinary) traditions

During the visit, Goolwa was officially nominated the first non-european city to be a part of CittàSlow and the pilot city for the Città-Slow network in Australia.

This new link between Italian cities and Goolwa is but one sign of the strong link between Italy and South Australia, two states that strive to create urban spaces that promote quality of life, protect the environment and preserve the traditions.
