How to redeem Italian postal Bonds and Saving Books

Italian Postal Bonds and Saving Books may be redeemed from overseas and the proceeds may be wire transferred to the holder’s bank accounts, by following this procedure:

  1. Fill in and sign Form W14 indicating in all details the bond/bonds’ series number, the amount, the issuing date and the Post Office that issued the bond/bonds.
  2. Fill in and sign the Modalita’ pagamento Form issued by Poste Italiane, choosing the method of payment and indicating the holder’s bank account information, specifying complete Account Number, name and address of the Bank, SWIFT and IBAN code if available.
  3. The application has to be signed in front of a Consular Officer and has to be notarized by the Officer on both application forms.
  4. The above documents have to be accompanied by a certified copy of the applicant’s valid passport and of the Italian codice fiscale.

For this service it’s not necessary to book an appointment, simply come at the Consulate, during opening hours, with a valid identification document with photo. The Consulate will only notarize your signature on both forms, please come to the Consulate with the forms already filled in, except for the signature.

Once all documents are ready they have to be sent directly by the applicant via post together with the Bonds and/or Postal Savings Books, in original, directly to the following address:
